The Global Transition 2012 is an international network of organisations and leading thinkers from the Global North and South. It is catalysing a ‘Global Transition’ by building a community of civil society organisations across the globe to promote and deliver a rapid transition to the desirable and beneficial economy that we aspire to.

On March 17 & 18 Global Transition is hosted the second Global Transition Dialogue on the new economy.

Outreach is a multi-stakeholder publication on climate change and sustainable development produced by Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future. Last year Outreach was produced at all preparatory and intersessional meetings of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD), as well as at the United Nations Framework for a Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Durban, South Africa. Outreach will continue to be published at forthcoming preparatory meetings on Rio+20 as well as during the conference itself.

The UN recently announced that 115 heads of state are already committed to attend Rio+20, but has not released their names, nor is there much information readily available on how their governments are preparing for Rio+20. To fill this important information gap, Earth Summit Watch is gathering and publishing current information on the status of Rio+20 preparations in every country.

With the aim of building a Network of National Councils for Sustainable Development this website maps the information on current National Councils. A library of information is being established to engender engagement, share best practices and lessons learned and identify the implementation potential for the Rio+20 themes.
